A Profile In Courage

Ronald Reagan would have, based on his record of finding accommodation, finding some degree of common ground, as would my dad - they would have a hard time if you define the Republican party - and I don't - as having an orthodoxy that doesn't allow for disagreement, doesn't allow for finding some common ground.---Jeb Bush, 11 June 2012

A hard time? Try...he wouldn't have even made it through a GOP primary. Like the fiction they create regarding Obama, the Gipper has become a mythical figure that bears no resemblance to what he actually did in reality. I will give Mr. Bush credit, though, for having the guts to admit what most conservatives will not.

Reagan was more conservative than Romney. Romney is another George Bush - the guy Reagan beat to win the nomination. The comment from Jeb makes no sense.

As for how radical Ryan's plan is - it doesn't even begin to balance the budget for how many years? Pure insanity huh?

Well anon there you go again!

Funny how wildly conservative ol' Ronnie Raygun was to Dems/liberals back in the day and how moderate and admirable he is to them now. Never has death done more for a man's reputation within a certain segment of the population.

Ronald Reagan: "The nine most terrifying words in the English language - I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."

Yeah, I can see why liberals/progressives just love the guy of late.

Every time I see this post I think about how stupid Jeb comes across and how alike Romney is to Jeb's daddy.
