One Day To Close

I had this great column planned for the last day before the election but my buddy Bill Maher took the words right out of my mouth.

Don't forget to vote tomorrow!

Thanks for this today - I needed to see it! I love Bill Maher! Here in Illinois with our Governor's race and some other races, I can't stand this stuff anymore! The Republicans are killing me. Judy Barr-Topinka
actually said that Rod should go coach the Cubs because they are both losers! Oh that's a way to win votes in Democrat Chicago you idiot! This time of year really grates on my nerves!

Make sure you vote for Tammy Duckworth tomorrow! She is in your district.

Only neocon slime could accuse a double amputee who got there legs blown off in Iraq (and requested to return to Iraq) weak on terror.

Fuckers...

Mark,
(FYI, I just sent your link to the whole DFL state central committee. Kudos on your great blog!!) But I'm shooting you a note about a film I saw on Friday night called "Stealing America Vote by Vote". www.stealingamerica.org It details all the discrepancies from the 2004 elections -- the machine problems, the vote-flipping, the long lines, calling Ohio while hundreds of people were still in line, and interviews Clint Collins (?) who testified in Congress that he was asked by a Republican official to program the machines to come up with a specific tally.

Anyway, it gives you a lot to think about regarding WHO is behind these irregularities -- and I just learned last night that Cheney will be in South Dakota starting tonight (on his first hunting trip since shooting his friend in the face) -- and it makes me REALLY uncomfortable to think that he will have something to do with the outcome of the vote on the abortion ban there. C'mon, why would he go on a hunting trip on the VERY DAY of an election this important to his party? I'm not hearing this discussed anywhere and think it should be put out there -- just thought that might be something for you to consider getting out to your network of folks.

Good point, Kat. Why is Cheney in South Dakota tomorrow?

Hmm, methinks I smell some finkery again...

Thanks for your forward to DFL State Committee. Drinks are on me the next time we hit the town...

Hey Crab,

I am saving Borat to see with you when you get back from your travels. Initial reports have said that it is the funniest movie of all time.

Can't wait, dude!
