Poetic Justice

So, let's see here...mom brags on social media, "My right to protect my child with my gun trumps your fear of my gun" and then ends up accidentally getting shot in the back by that same child.
Now she might be charged because Florida law requires guns to be secured from minors?
Poetic justice...

"My right to protect my child with my gun trumps your fear of my gun."

This woman's entire argument is basically, "If I'm afraid of someone I should be able to shoot them."

Why does the fear of a gun owner fear from nebulous bogeymen trump the very real danger of people getting shot by incompetent gun owners and their out-of-control children?

I have no problem with competent people owning guns who know how to store them safely. But carting them around in your purse or in your belt where they can fall out or be taken by children -- or assailants -- is the height of idiocy.
