About Time

Most of the time, I get nauseated when the left bitches about President Obama. They really have no fucking clue what kind of country we live in today. For the most part, this is especially true when they whine about the president not being tough enough.

But today, I have to say, I was very happy to see the president call the right on their bullshit during his press conference today. The position the right has taken on taxes is so ludicrous that it's embarrassing given reality. Thankfully, most Americans are not with them.

Politifact has an iPhone app, b to the w, which is pretty mega and only $1.99.

And check out this poll.

26 percent blame President Bush, 25 percent blame Wall Street, 11 percent blame Congress and just 8 percent blame President Obama. In all honesty, this poll is just about the right distribution for blame. The other 30 percent could probably be a variety of other sources including the American people themselves.

All of this tells me that the doom and gloom about the president and the Democrats losing in 2012 is terribly short sighted. Most Americans aren't buying the narrative that the GOP and other parts of the right are peddling. It doesn't add up. They simply don't have any solutions for our problems and it's very clear that their past efforts have completely failed.

All they really have left is the media which they fake scorn every chance they get. Without them, I doubt anyone would pay attention to what anyone says on the right. They'd have their own little world where they could blow bowels about fake problems and the rest of us can get on with actually making this country a better place.

I can agree with that statement, even if my reasons are somewhat different than yours.

Funny though how you hang on every utterance from Bachmann and Palin.

This from the oracle who predicted that the Dems wouldn't get pasted in 2010. I'm suddenly feeling much more optimistic.

Yeah, he was way off on his prediction with the Senate. It's been tough with the GOP running all of Congress.

Mark picked the exact right number for the Senate and was wrong about the House. In my book, that's batting 500 which is still pretty good. He's better at this than he is at volleyball.

Re: 2012 election

If my choices are Obama vs any (R) that seems to be in the running, I'll vote for staying home on polling day.

And you are his friend?

There is truth to the Republicans not having "solutions" - the delusion is in believing that the Democrats do. Then again I don't believe in God either.

I've read those last 2 paragraphs of the entry before...right up to the 2010 elections.

They won't have to give solutions when they are not the ones who control the white house. It may just end up being a referendum on Obama. omglol!

He was way off regarding the house. People aren't listening to the nitwits in each party as much as you guys are.

Newsflash! Barry O takes time out from his busy golf schedule to scold congress for not doing their job.

In other news the pot thinks the kettle is a little to darkly colored.

Poor M, ignorant and so proud of it!

You have some weird and scary idea of 'making this country a better place'.

*the economy worsened
*discretionary military efforts (“kinetic” if you prefer) increased
*an unpopular, flawed health care plan was forced on the public
*inflation increased, especially in critical goods like food and gasoline
*job prospects decreased
*the stimulus failed miserably
*“transparency in government” became a laugh-line for late night TV
*corruption in government accelerated to Chicago-style warp speed
*Housing worsened and shows no sign of bottoming soon
*Government debt and spending spun out of control
*Wall Street was bailed out and continues to enrich themselves
*Main Street was ignored and becomes poorer as bankruptcies and foreclosures mount
*race relations appear to have worsened

This article sums up your 'hero' just fine:
http://www.economicnoise.com/2011/06/28/president-quixote%E2%80%99s-legacy-confused-ill-educated-and-not-too-bright/

Obama’s ideology blinds him to relevant variables. Incentives, institutional frameworks, profit and loss, individual initiative, saving and investment, hard work, etc. have no role in his simplistic world. He is a political creation with no experience in relevant matters. He does not understand markets, business, meeting a payroll or managing an organization. This vacuum in knowledge produces failed economic results because policies do not consider the relevant variables for economic success.

Much more in that article but I suspect you will dismiss it just like all the others that don't echo your infantile understanding of the world.

And this takes the cake:
All they really have left is the media which they fake scorn every chance they get. Without them, I doubt anyone would pay attention to what anyone says on the right.

Yeah, 'cause all the gaffes, ineptness, and scandals that are going on with this admin are front page news right? Nice blinders you got on there.

Well, 6Kings, that was quite a nice rant. Couple of things...

First, taxes are low for the wealthy... corporate profits are soaring...where are the jobs? And let's not hear the excuse of "uncertainty." It's very weak, terribly pathetic, and most of all, illogical.

Obama is being divisive? Heeheeheee!!!!!

How exactly was the health care bill "forced" on us? More importantly, is there any scenario you can envision in which you will admit that it works?

We've got to pass it, to find out what's in it.
