Intelligent Minds Think Alike

Check out this video from CNN's web site.

Note to Rush: Buh Bye....

And isn't all of it exactly what I have been saying for the last....um...forever?

Mmmm, yes, very interesting... Isn't Colin Powell the very definition of Rino?

…anything else going on in the news lately? Hurting for topics?

What political party had the candidate that campaigned on the theme of "There are 2 Americas"? And that's not the same thing? Nice try Markadelphia.

Hilarious...especially from both of you. Rather than agreeing with him, and btw he is 100 percent correct, you choose to ignore Gen. Powell's statements and more than likely wish to continue the divisiveness thus ensuring Democratic victory after victory.

Sounds good to me.

continue the divisiveness? have you read markadelphia.blogspot recently? he is pretty divisive but hes on your side so its ok for him to be divisive right? good question rld, nobody feels like saying which candidate campaigned on the theme of 2 americas for the last 8 years. the list of people who have said rush is done is very long, and he is still on the air and just resigned for many millions of dollars. instead of deferring off to your superiors and wanting us to debate Powell, why don't you type more than 1 line so people can debate you. probably not an option,

Why would I agree w/ him? Because Pain espouses small town values, does that necessarily mean she deplores big town values, as Powell seems to think? Has she been quotes as saying that? I think not.

Dave, I think the topic of the future of the Republican Party is very important. Palin was quoted as saying that people in small town Virginia represent conservative values and the "real America."

Your party doesn't stand for anything anymore...just against everything. That is people like Rush's raison d'etre.

SW and RLD, if being divisive means I call some conservatives on their divisive and intolerant bullshit, than I guess I am divisive. Edwards Two Americas is not a divisive statement...it is a fact. The stratification of our culture has caused an extraordinary amount of hardship with many people in this country...which is the jist of what he is saying.

Powell touches on this too as he chides some conservatives for telling people to "pull themselves up by their boot straps." This statement is so far off from reality that one can clearly see why Republicans got their ass kicked in the last two elections.

Now, guys, do you want to win elections (start using your core beliefs to appeal to a more diverse crowd) or do you want to continue to shout, be against everything, speak of "real" America, and have more conventions like the last in St. Paul. Believe me, I'd be happy if you chose the latter because that just means more victories for people President Elect Barack Obama.

And, yes, the end of people like Rush Limbaugh.
