Good Words

I have been authorized by the Department of Justice to confirm that the FBI, as part of our counterintelligence mission, is investigating the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

That includes investigating the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government, and whether there was any coordination between the campaign and Russia’s efforts.

---FBI Director James Comey, testifying today before the House Intelligence Committee.

The question now is how long Trump will be in office.

That's always been the question.

Trump is, in every way, not competent to serve as president of the United States. His temperament, lack of experience, conflicts of interest, inability to learn new things, developing Alzheimer's, nepotism, self-dealing, sexism, racism, multiple acts of sexual assault, poor business acumen, contacts with foreign and organized crime figures, questionable business practices, multiple bankruptcies, Trump University scams, hiring foreign workers at his casinos, golf courses, resorts and construction sites, collusion with the Russians, etc., made it completely obvious from the get-go that he was not fit to serve as president.

Yet somehow he managed to convince a sizeable minority -- barely enough to win in the electoral college -- of disaffected voters that they should vote for him.

Any one of these failings would have torpedoed another candidate. Yet the sheer volume of disqualifying factors -- literally dozens, if not hundreds -- served to shield Trump: voters appeared to think that Trump wasn't being treated fairly, that the media was just piling on him to be cruel.

But the last two months have demonstrated that without doubt that basically every negative story about how incompetent, corrupt and just plain stupid Trump is was completely true.
