"That the pandemic occurred is not Trump’s fault. The utter unpreparedness of the United States for a pandemic is Trump’s fault. The loss of stockpiled respirators to breakage because the federal government let maintenance contracts lapse in 2018 is Trump’s fault. The failure to store sufficient protective medical gear in the national arsenal is Trump’s fault. That states are bidding against other states for equipment, paying many multiples of the precrisis price for ventilators, is Trump’s fault. Air travelers summoned home and forced to stand for hours in dense airport crowds alongside infected people? That was Trump’s fault too. Ten weeks of insisting that the coronavirus is a harmless flu that would miraculously go away on its own? Trump’s fault again. The refusal of red-state governors to act promptly, the failure to close Florida and Gulf Coast beaches until late March? That fault is more widely shared, but again, responsibility rests with Trump: He could have stopped it, and he did not."
And thus we have the end of "Orange Man Bad" and whining about Trump Derangement Syndrome. We warned you, Trump supporters and apologists. You acted like adolescent assholes and didn't listen. How many people have died from this because Trump didn't take it seriously? How much money has been lost? Whose lives have been destroyed? That's on YOU, assholes!
I've repeatedly explained to the right-wing bloggers and commenters who read this site daily that this would happen. They laughed and pretended like Trump was actually competent. Now, they've gone silent. You fucking assholes aren't anywhere close to comprehending how to run a country. All you have is digital bile that results in American deaths.
I don't know how you can get up in the morning and look at yourselves in the mirror.

I became an adult in 1978. Here’s what I’ve seen in my life. I was a paperboy back in the early 70’s. Nixon, the oil embargoes, wage and price freeze. Left in disgrace. Then as I became an adult Carter was president. Things weren’t great but they weren’t all screwed up either. My first car? 14.5% interest rate. Uncles and Aunts had to delay retirement because of changes to social security. First mortgage? 11.5%. All under Reagan. Daddy Bush came in. Had my first real layoff. 1990 was horrible. There was literally no decent work. It took me 18 months of side jobs just to survive. *I lost my marriage because of all the stress. In 1992 Clinton was elected. Got a steady and much better job. Interest rates went down. My retirement account not only recovered but boomed. Paid off all my debt. Bought house number two. 6.0% interest rate later financed to 3.5% Things were peaceful and calm. Yeah that intern thing was screwed up but didn’t hurt or destroy other people. Then we got W. Baby Bush starting tanking the economy right away and blaming it on everyone else. 9/11 despite being warned beforehand. Endless wars, huge deficits and finally the economic collapse of 2008. I didn’t lose my job but several of my friends were completely destroyed by that. They all live in the rural south now. Make one third of what they made after total bankruptcy. Thank God their kids got to go to college. Then we got Obama. Nice steady economic recovery. Drawing down the wars. Low interest. Declining budget deficits year after year. No scandals. Yeah. The amount of federal was alarming. Tarp 1 and 2 were the primary factors in that. Look at things now. I know. A virus isn’t his fault. Whatever. Go ahead and make excuses. One thing I know for certain. Every single time we had a republican president people have suffered. Suffered massively. Death, destruction, debt. It’s all they know and do. Every Single time. I don’t only not support Trump. I will never support the republicans in any office. I will never support their hurtful destructive policies.
