No Shit

In response to this article from the Washington Post, my friend Vincent had this to say.

Score another victory for corporate deregulation. Financial deregulation gave us the economic crisis, and energy deregulation helped give us this fine mess.

No shit, Vincenzo.

Certainly, I was mistaken when I predicted that the election of President Obama would make the Cult irrelevant. All I really needed to do was sit back and let their fucked up way of running things clearly demonstrate how ridiculously wrong they are in their borderline psychotic views on government.

OK, what specific regulation was REMOVED that would have prevented this.

Because that is what the fucking word d-e-r-e-g-u-l-a-t-i-o-n means - a reduction in regulation. So please, share with the world your insight into oil drilling regulations and the relaxation thereof that is the root to this incident.

Put up or shut [the fuck] up.

For bonus points, you can also tell us WHY the govt couldn't solve this problem sooner. The BLUE fucking team is running the show now, so no lame bullshit about how poorly the Repubs run the govt (which BTW is true).

What do you hope to gain from increasing regulation? The people you consider appropriate to be in charge

Obama
Geithner
Rangel
Murtha
Emmanuel
Holder
etc, etc...

cannot be counted on to obey the law, much less enforce the law. Half the Democrats currently holding national office gave a standing ovation praising disdain for the law. And you personally are obviously completely undisturbed by this.

So why do you give a flying fuck what regulations are in place when you quite plainly don't give a shit whether laws are enforced at all, only that your people are the ones who get to disobey them without consequences?

How is everybody doing on here?

I'll say it again.

You all know that this could have been taken care of in 48 hours...the typical procedure oil companies and other governments have done many times in the past is to put a 100 yard tube down the well, send dynamite down the tube to blow up the well at the bottom, and pour concrete on top of it. Problem solved. What is going on is BP doesn't want to lose the well so they are doing all kinds of other half-assed crap that is further damaging the gulf region.

Why hasn't this been done yet?

Didn't several foreign governments offer their assitance to us?

and why was BP sheltered from the normal regulations by the people you voted for? I blame all of you who voted for Obama for this oil spill flowing for 1 whole month...I can't see how anyone can have an alternate view of this!

?!?!?!?!?!
