Quiet Reflection

I can't post any political stuff today. My mind and heart are on the last ever episode of LOST which has completely blown me away on just about every level.

The implications of the series go beyond simply fantastic writing, acting, and creativity. If you get out of it what I did, you will see the next step in human evolution on a mental, emotional and spiritual level. This is why there is no doubt that it is the best show (and one of the best created works of any medium) I have ever seen.

Well done, cast and crew of LOST. Very well done.

OK, the end was what I predicted in the 2nd or 3rd season. Not as lame as Battlestar Galactica, but not a whole lot better. Apparently it is much easier to think up plot quirks then it is to resolve them.

You thought the end of BG was lame? I thought it was cool although I saw it coming a mile away. I love all that Chariots of the Gods, Zechariah Stichin stuff though.

The thing I really took away from the last ep of LOST was the idea that the afterlife is not linear...that when you die you are with everyone who you have been close to or who has been important in your life even if you died first. As Christian said, "There is no NOW here."

The end of BG was the worst writing imaginable.

No wonder you loved it.

You want an interesting take on the afterlife, find yourself a copy of "The Rapture". Now THAT is not run of the mill, sappy, Hollywood writing.
