Remember This?

A 500 percent tax? Oh, I see...yet another bullshit lie.

But I do love how the owner of the gun shop kept using the word "scared" over and over again. Ah, the free market at work:)

Any of you folks who rushed out to buy guns feel foolish right now? We're almost three years into Obama's presidency and he's allowed states to do what they want. In addition, he's actually increased gun owner's rights by signing the credit card protection bill which contained a clause in it to allow people to carry loaded guns into national parks and wildlife refuges. So, all that fret and worry was for absolutely nothing.

I wonder if some of the other things they froth at the mouth about will also amount to one gigantic nothing like this did. Hmmm....

Perhaps you can use your patented "the stimulus didn't fail, just imagine how much worse it would be without it" thought process on this.

Imagine how much gun control would have attempted to be instituted without the stimu...err 'frothing' to forestall it.

How long has Beck been off the air?

True, Obama and the Congressional Dem majority (back when there was one) chose to not fuck with gun owners.

I think even you will admit it was out of character for the progressive/liberal wing of the Dem party not to attempt further restrictions on gun ownership. Perhaps they finally realized that it was a losing cause, or perhaps it just wasn't the priority that other things were and had the 2010 elections played out differently you would be defending the reasonable regulations they wanted.

“This program was deliberately designed to attack law-abiding American gun owners and gun dealers. Why else would an anti-gun administration force licensed firearms dealers to sell guns to violent criminals?”

Which of course is a ridiculous distortion of the truth, right? Except for one wee problem:

http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/191985-eric-holder-has-a-gun-problem

“This hunt for blame doesn’t really speak about the problem,” said Sen. Dianne Feinstein at a recent Senate Judiciary hearing while discussing Fast and Furious.

“And the problem is, anybody can walk in and buy anything, .50-caliber weapons, sniper weapons, buy them in large amounts, and send them down to Mexico. So, the question really becomes, what do we do about this?”

The US Department of Justice deliberately pressured gun dealers into allowing straw purchases, and deliberately chose not to track the sold guns... and now his party in Congress is using that as a reason to crack down on the licensed gun dealers and the legal gun owners, while stonewalling an investigation into a federal program that directly resulted in over 200 murders.

You frothed at the mouth to make Sarah Palin complicit in a murder she had nothing to do with, but you remain utterly silent on hundreds of murders directly enabled by the Obama Administration.

"The most transparent and accountable administration in history." Indeed.

Can we conclude that people who support this administration don't care about dead Mexicans? I mean, they gave a bunch of guns to a violent drug cartel.

And that's the end of that bullshit. Try again, ass hats

HAHAHhahahaha - Bush did it too? That's your fucking defense sasquatch? Is that going to be the whole story of the Obama Administration in the end? Talk about an ass hat!

And of course you would have defended Bush, had you found out about this back when he was President, right? Of course not, we all know better. So what makes it defensible now that Obama's doing it?

More to the point, what makes it so defensible as to justify stonewalling the investigation into it?

Let me guess, it must be because "the right people are in charge".

Just like how the war in Iraq, which Bush got Congressional approval for, was "illegal", but the war in Libya, which Obama did not get Congressional approval for, was somehow... not.

I like how the earlier version was a failure because the Mexicans weren't able to track the guns once on their side of the border. So the new operation tries it again without even telling the Mexicans about it.....curious how the new operation was going to define success??

Yup, exactly the same but different.

Just like the fucking crickets I heard when the Repubs were spending like crazy, no one was bitching about this. But as soon as there is a black president and a black attorney general, then it's bad. The knee jerk hatred you assholes have for Holder is pathetic.

You didn't say anything about it then. You must not care about dead mexicans.

Thanks for the info, sasquatch. I think it's likely that we are going to find out that gun walking has been going on long before Eric Holder ever set foot in the AG's office. Why do you guys blow a bowel about him, again? I forgot...there's so much irrational anger to keep track of these days from you folks.

Interesting that this thread shifting to gun walking and not an admittance that you guys were loopy about buying guns and ammo when Obama took office...loopy for no reason whatsoever other than your own paranoid fantasies.

Hmm, let's see. This was tried under the Bush administration on a significantly smaller scale, with serious efforts made to track weapons once they left point of sale, including radio tracking tags, with knowledge and supposed cooperation of the Mexican government (except they didn't actually cooperate, which any of us could've told them was going to happen), and when it became apparent that it was a failure, it was shut down.

Now we're supposed to believe that the BATF seemingly had no idea of what it had previously tried and failed at 2 years previously, and not only that, but it somehow expected it to work without any attempt at tracking, while this time keeping it secret from the Mexican government.

Even though this does ring true of a liberal Democratic mindset of doubling down on the stupid (take something that failed to work before, then remove what safeguards had existed previously while simultaneously vastly increasing the size, and expecting to work this time for sure Because We're Better People (tm), I have trouble believing this to be anything more than a backdoor effort to justify more gun control by making true those previous false claims that 90% of weapons seized in Mexico came illegally from the US.

Did you miss this part?

http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/191985-eric-holder-has-a-gun-problem

According to Sen. Feinstein, gunwalking "proves" that we need tougher gun laws... although how she thinks they will reduce the gunrunning being done by the DoJ, she doesn't make clear.

Nor do you make clear how quoting a US Senator speaking on the record constitutes a "paranoid fantasy."

“And the problem is, anybody can walk in and buy anything, .50-caliber weapons, sniper weapons, buy them in large amounts, and send them down to Mexico."

She seems not to notice that the only way "anybody" seems able to do with is if they have an inside track with the Justice Dept. or the BATF. But that's okay, we'll just make the laws tougher on everybody else, while stonewalling anyone who tries to get BATF and DoJ to even follow the laws that are already on the books.

I think you've been told this before, Anonymous, but Mark does not respond any longer to anonymous posters. Pick up a name and defend yourself.

Ah yes, "paranoid fantasies"...

This from the guy who routinely accuses any conservative who is polling well of "wanting to turn America into a theocracy"... based on nothing but vapors, apparently... or possibly merely the fact that it's a conservative that's doing well in the polls, therefore they must be trying to turn America into a theocracy... even as he uses his own religious beliefs to justify mandating any government action he supports.

This from the guy who routinely accuses the entire Republican party of wanting to sell America to Wall Street special interests... even as Obama racks up more money from Wall Street donors than all of his Republican competitors combined, and uses taxpayer money to give his bundlers and Wall Street cronies sweetheart deals.

I think you've been told this before, Anonymous, but...

I haven't bothered to tell you this before, but unlike a typical Democrat, I don't base my actions on what imaginary people (like Santa), or real people with imaginary facts (like Al Gore), tell me they think I should do.

Wow, s and s crawl out from under the bridge to talk tough.

Hey, big hairy stupid one - I was complaining about Bush policies. And I am complaining about how Obama is still doing the wrong things that Bush did. You just bend over and beg to be had by that Donkey d***.
