Too Political?

My oh my, what an interesting turn of events.

The sticking point appears to be Hanauer assertion that "rich businesspeople like me don't create jobs," but rather it's the middle class consumers who fuel business growth and subsequent job creation by spending their hard earned money on stuff.

How exactly is the illustration of a simple fact considered political?

(sniff sniff)

Smells to me like the Cult of Both Sides is up to its usual tricks again.

Here is a different take on the cult of both sides...

WSJ:

The liberal critique of private equity assumes that the financial industry is full of saps who have been eager to lose money across the table from Bain for 28 years. This is the same financial industry that the same liberal critics say is full of greedy schemers when it comes to padding their own pay or ripping off consumers. But financiers can't be both knaves and diabolical geniuses at the same time.

The WSJ just doesn't understand the mindset of liberals like M who can instantaneously switch positions like that - when it suits them.

A little more on topic - Zigi Wylf isn't creating jobs in Minn, but he sure is making money...

New Vikes stadium based on public subsidy from the state and the city.

I won't rub your nose in it too much M - as my corner of Calif will eventually succumb to the demands of the NFL and the Chargers. But I will rub your nose in it to the extent that you believe most of the arguments these asshats use even if not in this particular case.

In the case of the Vikings, I can see the arguments that both sides make. Why should we subsidize billionaires? Can they get a billion dollars line of credit? And the amount of money that athletes make is pretty sickening. Again, the MJG:)

The state of MN also really wanted to be involved financially for a number of reasons. The state and the city of Minneapolis are going to make a lot of money out of this and it will employ a number of people during the construction phase. Don't be fooled by the stories that the government had to be dragged into this and the Wilfs were begging for money. That's entirely true either.

Ya know, you might want to start calling that the LJG - LeBron James hasn't done half of what MJ actually did and still gets as much adulation.

Jaysus you shit, you didn't read the article at all, did you? Now I will rub your nose in it you bad little puppy - pro sports does NOT make the host [such an appropriate word] cities money. Zip, zilch, nada. The public money from all of those middle class and below taxpayers (sales tax applies most to them) is transferred to the wealthy, who are so in need of such handouts. You are such a tool - a dull, barely useful one, but a tool nonetheless.
