Projection but whatever. Let's have a Democrat Halloween: We will force everyone to pay government a candy fee so they can buy candy for centralized distribution and everyone contributes (no turning out the lights for non-participation this year!).
40% of that money will go to paying the Candy committee (and other associated committees) for overseeing the project. The remaining 60% will buy candy from Democrat connected big businesses for 3 times the normal price. Then kids can line up like in the old Soviet Union for their 'fair share'. Yeah, that sounds fun and familiar.
Don't forget, the candy pre-registration website will be built by a connected company with a no bid contract, it won't work to actually register the kids, but it will feature data mining and a specific non-confidentiality clause.
