Five Big 2014 Questions

CNN has five big questions that face the political scene in the US this year. They pretty much echo the same ones I have discussed here. My answers, in order, are:

No, because the conservative caucus that is motivated are the ones that are moonbats.

Yes, because the Right is going to trot out more candidates like Todd Akin and Richard Murdock. They just can't help themselves:)

A huge effect. Even with GOP leaders trying to get something done, they still have a caucus of xenophobes to contend with and that will continue to be a problem. They will lose seats in the House that they should have won because of their obstinance.

Supporting the minimum wage. Republicans are going to alienate many voters who are poor with both of these issues.

The amount of money spent doesn't really matter. 2012 proved that once and for all. Republicans spent a billion dollars and they still couldn't beat the president or the Democrats. In the end, it's a simple recognition of reality and positivity that wins elections.

Who wants to vote for a party that is angry, hateful, irrationally afraid of nearly everything, spiteful, insecure, obsessive, and incredibly negative?

blah blah blah, more talk about republicans and conservatives, quite boring. Of course there are no hard choices for democrats - all on the up and up! They have hard choices too but you will rarely ever mention those or discuss those. It's all on the republicans.

You just said money doesn't matter, but a month ago you were telling people to look out because there was a billionaire on "your side" now. Which is it? You are not consistent in your principles at all.

And Mark has the nerve to falsely accuse me of using the ad hominem fallacy.

The word that describes that is “hypcrite”. (see also)

No, because the conservative caucus that is motivated are the ones that are moonbats.

But to you 'mainstream' is 'Democrat-lite', and 'moonbat' is anything more than a couple of degrees right of you.

Yes, because the Right is going to trot out more...

As long as people like you can define the narrative as you have in terms like 'mainstream' and 'moonbat', then I'd agree with you.

Even with GOP leaders trying to get something done, they still have a caucus of xenophobes to contend...

Again, as long as your side successfully mis-characterizes, demeans and labels the arguments to suit your purposes, sure.

Republicans are going to alienate many voters who are poor

Who also apparently don't understand math or economics...

In the end, it's a simple recognition of reality and positivity that wins elections.

Or the best ability to define 'reality' as they deem...

Now I must disagree. M is quite consistent in only one principle - whatever works for him at the moment. To that he is the very rock of Gibraltar.
