Ya'know, you really are the last person to be whining about hypocrisy.

OK douche-bag ass-hat;

If democrats stop buying The Nuge's albums, demand that liberal radio stations take The Nuge off the air and insist that liberal political organizations stop inviting The Nuge to speak - they would be well within their own rights of free speech.

But of course you just can't see that beyond your own bias'.

I think you are missing the point, GD. The outrage over the Dixie Chicks was centered around being un-American and attacking the president. Yet when Barack Obama is president it's OK because he's also not a "real" American.

So, I'm wondering where the outrage is (from the right) on this attack on the president? In fact, I think this is a little more severe considering their was an intimation of violence against the president-something the Dixie Chicks didn't do and were actually protesting against.

No Mark, you are missing the point.

The outrage over the Dixie Chicks was not just because of what they said, but who they were when the said it.

Who they were when they said it? Explain, please.

Could be wrong, but I think GD meant "where", not "who."

Here's why:

The dixie chicks have tits. Uncle Ted has rocked since the 60's, and is on tour this year.

Where are the Dixie Chicks?

Ted deserves more respect than the DC, simply due to his personage and his consistent stance.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong... but that's the way it is. Personally, I find 'star's' opinions to be the most overated thing since sliced bread.

I wonder why you think a guitarist's opinion makes any real difference.

Period.

Because he intimated a threat to the president.

No, he didn't. And the Secret Service verified that. Ass-hat.

The Nuge has had at least 1 concert cancelled (at Ft. Knox). He exercised his right to free speech, and so have others. No one ever claimed that speech is free of consequences.

The idiot Dixie Chicks said something to a British audience that pissed off their largely conservative audience. They paid a price. Some of the criticism was over the top, but so has been some of the criticism of Nugent.

There. Explained. Fuckwit.

Did the Secret Service pay a visit to the Dixie Chicks?

And you are missing the point. It's all fine and dandy when its a Democratic president. Heck then you can say that you'll be "dead or in jail" if he gets re-elected. But if you are questioning the legality of a war, then you are a commie slut who deserves to be hung, right?

Where in the fuck did you come up with that from what I wrote? Are you just congenitally unable to comprehend what people actually fucking write or are you just a shameless dick?
