Fun Math Facts

Since this is an election year and I'm continually reminded that I'm not a logical or mathematical thinker, I thought it would be entirely appropriate to start an ongoing feature here at Markadelphia: Fun Math Facts.

The first one comes from Bloomberg News.

The BGOV Barometer shows that since Democrat John F. Kennedy took office in January 1961, non-government payrolls in the U.S. swelled by almost 42 million jobs under Democrats, compared with 24 million for Republican presidents, according to Labor Department figures.

For those of you logical mathematical minded folks, that's a difference of 18 million. Wow!

And that is a Fun Math Fact!!!

Heh. Every time you do this, we point out that it doesn't make any sense to count jobs under presidents, as the makeup of Congress is going to have a lot more to do with it than the party affiliation of the president. Then you say, "well its not me doing that, it's ." So why did you just do it?

Why do you insist on blaming President Obama for the economy when it sours and not giving him credit (or any other Democratic president for that matter) when it improves?

The fact is that we look to the president as our nation's leader and hold him accountable for what transpires during his time in office.

You're probably not going to like Fun Math Facts:)
