My Favorite Day of the Year

"I am rather inclined to silence, and whether that be wise or not, it is at least more unusual nowadays to find a man who can hold his tongue than to find one who cannot."

--Abraham Lincoln, our nation's BEST president.

"In the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal."

--John F. Kennedy, my FAVORITE president.

Best president: Washington. He essentially invented the executive branch, and had the grace and dignity to peacefully hand off power.

Favorite president: Coolidge. He didn't get all ego'ed up by being president, and in that, he may truly be unique.

Best President: Washington

After refusing to be crowned king of the USoA, he turned down a guaranteed third term as President to go back to his life. How I wish congressmen would do that now....

Favorite President: Fillmore. I cross my arms and repeat; Fillmore.

Lincoln? The Best? He is the one who pioneered Bush's ideas that the executive could suspend habeas corpus.
