Well, since any person can be racist.....the proper term for a person or organization with power that oppresses others based upon race is racial discrimination


What do you think it is when an organization discriminates for people of one race to the detriment to people of another race? Yes, racial discrimination - per the definition.

Plug in any race to that formula and the definition is the same - racial discrimination.

So, if a particular organization has hiring preferences based upon race, in which ANY racial group is given preference over another, based solely or partly upon race - then that, again by definition, is racial discrimination.

So what happens when this racial discrimination is perpetrated against the people who are 'perceived' to have political, economic or institutional power? You guessed it, that's called 'reverse discrimination'.

Just so we're clear - it's still racial discrimination.

I would agree that there's no such thing as "reverse racism", that being an oxymoron. Racism is racism, period. When universities used to put a maximum quota on Jewish admissions, that was racism. When California adjusts admission standards to keep the numbers of Asian students down, that's racism. When Michigan adjust standards to make it easier for black students to get in, that's equivalent to making it harder for others to get in based solely on their race. That's the very definition of racism.

You want to fix the problem of black under-representation in college? Then you need to fix the K-12 system. Which isn't doing all that well based on so many, many colleges offering remedial classes. It used to be that if you needed a remedial class, you weren't admitted in the first place because you self-evidently were not ready.

And women can most certainly be just as sexist as men. There are female-controlled companies, lots of female managers, and there are sure as shit lots of female bureaucrats in government.

Since I don't control any companies, don't play a role in government, don't manage any employes, I guess there's no way I can be more sexist than Nancy Silberkleit or the female AF sergeant convicted in court martial of sexual harrassment of male airmen (who very literally became a textbook example in training of how it can go both ways as a matter of both common sense and law. Now I know some radfems who would argue that that's in fact evidence of male sexism because (essentially), "Shut up! You're male and wrong!" For some reason, that doesn't hold a lot of water with the vast majority of either men or women I know. Weird, huh?
