Most Excellent Quote

Conservatives always love to quote H.L. Mencken yet, given their penchant towards simplicity, I doubt they would like this one.

For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.

No shit. I think the Democrats should use this in 2012 in simply (:)) describing the GOP platform.

Funny you should say that since liberals often used that against Reagan. Perhaps you weren't aware of that.

Pot? Meet kettle:

"Isn’t it interesting that no matter what the current global crisis is, according to leftists, the solution is always the same: a benevolent world dictatorship of the enlightened elite, and mass transfer of wealth from rich nations to poor nations." - Steven Den Beste

The "Population Bomb"? "Global Cooling"? "Global Warming"?

That's not what I am espousing, Kevin. I love capitalism. I just don't like what's being done to it now. Regarding wealth transfer from rich nations to poor nations...that's already happening because of free market ideals. I would think that you would be happy about that. Gross inequality is simply bad for business, though, and it's becoming more evident every day. Did you see the recent IMF report on inequality? Here it is:

The problem here isn't me. It's your bizarre fantasy version of me. This comes from your own terribly warped view that anyone to the left of the one yard line on the right side of the field is a Marxist. There is a quite a bit of time being wasted on managing paranoid fantasies when we should be dealing with actually solving problems.

I never put words in your mouth - I just ask you questions about the things you actually say.

And all of the fault for any misunderstandings is everyone but you.

Really?
