Markadelphia - the home of the unterr-post. Opposite of uber-post as found at TSM.

Pardon me, but your Straw Man is burning.

Fallacy: unsound, erroneous, misleading, deceptive, FALSE.

Mark clearly thinks that "false" equals "truth".

----------

Simple questions Mark refuses to answer:

Is the Constitution law? (44 days and counting)

Is "false" equal to "truth"? (6 days and counting)

Bonus question:

Why would an uninsured person going to the ER cause insurance rates to go up? (4 days and counting)

As for the last part of that big lie:

Given the following…

This first part of the 2nd Amendment establishes the intention to repel invasion, suppress insurrection, and locally enforce the law.
Markadelphia

and this…

10 USC § 311 - Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b) The classes of the militia are—

(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and

(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

… how is the militia supposed to "repel invasion, suppress insurrection" and prevent "representatives of the people [from] betray[ing] their constituents" (Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Paper 28) if you have taken away the weapons they need to succeed at those purposes? (30 days and counting)

Juris,

Is this what you were referring to with "unterr-post"?

No NMN - it was intended first as a pun, and second as a literal contrast between uber and unter as German words and that when Kevin Baker writes an uber-post it is a deeply considered and thorough argument. M's contrasting unter-post is a piece of intellectual popcorn, usually a graphic or slogan, that is shallow and vapid.

Wow. Pulled you into the bubble, did they, juris? Tsk Tsk:)

M - you are capable of more than you typically produce. Your discussion of Manzi was thorough and well considered. Sadly, it is all too rare for you to do that rather than post a stupid slogan or execrable graphic.

Why do I keep expecting better from you? Now that would be an interesting discussion.

Wait...what? You hated all the Manzi posts and bitched about them constantly. Whatever, Sybil:) I'll be getting back to Manzi soon. I still have 5 more chapters to do, after all.

And you're really not being fair. Kevin cuts and pastes all the time but it's Ok when he does it

No, I often disagreed with you (and him) about social fabric and your concern about it (whatever it is) and it fraying. And if you recall, I paid you a compliment about all of that back then that you said you would never forget; I guess like everything you say you can't seem to remember.

I'll be getting back to Manzi soon.

OMG - you can't even keep Manzi straight from Stiglitz! Fucking brilliant.

And you're really not being fair.

No I'm not - I give you much more benefit of the doubt than you have demonstrated that you deserve.

Ah, well...that's what usually happens at this time of year...at least it's the same gripe about social cohesion for both Manzi and Stiglitz.

Yes, no definition of what it is, but they are terribly concerned about how it isn't what it used to be - whatever it is, or was.
