”By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
— Jesus, John 13:35

Isn't the warm glow of Mark's love just overwhelming you? [/sarc]

Who are those people on the top row? I only recognize one of them.

----------

Given the following…

This first part of the 2nd Amendment establishes the intention to repel invasion, suppress insurrection, and locally enforce the law.
Markadelphia

and this…

10 USC § 311 - Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b) The classes of the militia are—

(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and

(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

… how is the militia supposed to "repel invasion, suppress insurrection" and prevent "representatives of the people [from] betray[ing] their constituents" (Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Paper 28) if you have taken away the weapons they need to succeed at those purposes? (31 days and counting)

Of course Christians don't get to disown their zealots and nutcases anymore than Muslims do.

I see. Plenty of time to engage in arguments Mark likes, but no time to answer a simple "Who's that?" question so that no one can point out the problems with Mark's latest copy/paste lie.

(11 hours and counting)

Simple questions Mark refuses to answer:

Is the Constitution law? (46 days and counting)

Even Joe Biden admits that the administration's gun control actions won't stop the shootings. So why do those things? (32 days and counting)

Given your reasoning that any "inconvenient" check and balance can now be discarded to deal with the current crisis du jour, what makes tyranny Not Possible in this country? (14 days and counting)

Is "false" equal to "truth"? (8 days and counting)

Bonus question:

Why would an uninsured person going to the ER cause insurance rates to go up? (6 days and counting)

You won't even tell me who they are?

Yeah, Mark really wants "discussion". NOT!

It's been 3 whole days where Mark has once again demonstrated his view of honest debate.

I have no idea who three of the four people Mark labelled as Christians are. So how can they represent "all Christians"?

There are two major equivocations in this graphic:

1) The claim the any one (or 4) person can represent all people that identify themselves with the named religion.

Problem is, it's simply not possible. Not even the founders of each religion (Jesus & Mohammad) represent every single person who claims to follow them. Some people only pretend to follow the religion. Others replace significant parts of the religion with their own desires. Others do attempt to follow the religion with varying degrees of success.

So no, no one can represent ALL members of a given religion.

This graphic fails on that point alone.

2) The claim that these people actual represent the teachings of the religion. The simplest way to evaluate whether the people listed faithfully follow the teachings is to compare them to the lives of the founders of the religion.

Do the men on the bottom match the example set by Mohammad's life? They certainly seem to:

if jihad is a concern for society (Muslim and non-Muslim), it is imperative that society examine Islam’s source materials and the understanding of the great expositors on the subject. The majority of the Qur’an’s texts themselves clearly identify jihad as physical warfare in Islam and, Islamically, God’s way of establishing the Kingdom of God on earth. They hardly require to be interpreted metaphorically. Likewise, from the Hadith and the earliest biographies of Muhammad it is just as evident that the early Muslim community understood these Quranic texts to be taken literally. Historically, therefore, from the time of Muhammad onwards, jihad as physical warfare in support of the message of Islam has been a reality for the Muslim community. Hence it comes as no surprise when even terrorists easily appeal to these source materials to justify their actions, not to speak of their teachers who teach the theory and the art of terrorism.
Jihad in Islam

Do the men on the top match the example set by Jesus? Based on Mark's dishonesty here (and elsewhere), almost certainly not.

Of the one person I recognize, Todd Akin, all I really know about him comes from one interview, from which two or three sentences were taken and heavily distorted to use as a club to attack him with. So does a lie told about a person make that person "bad person/good Christian"?

How do I know he was lied about? Here's the point he made right after those poor sentences:

I do think there should be some punishment, but the punishment ought to be on the rapist, and not attacking the child.

Did the media report that he gave this argument? If they did, at all (and most didn't), they treated it like a crazy uncle saying. Did Markadelphia even acknowledge this when I pointed it out? No, he did not.

So, can you make a valid judgement about someone based on a lie told about them? No, it is not possible.

In short, we have Mark, who ignores parts of the Bible he doesn't like and obviously distorts others, claiming unknown people represent his distorted idea of who we are. With fatal flaws at every step, even without knowing exactly who those people are, its safe to say that their lives do not significantly match Jesus' life or teachings.

----------

And that leads to another question I asked (again) two days ago, and which Mark obviously doesn't want to answer:

Do you think it's okay to punish a child for the parent's crime?
