The church shown being protected by Muslims was torched by Muslims on August 14th.

And your point is...?

Simple statement of fact related to the picture you posted.

What was your point?

Another weasel dodge...

Then stop dodging.

The photo speaks for itself which flies in the face of what you are refusing to admit based on your "fact." (source not checked for bias, corroborating evidence from unbiased source not presented, multiple sources).

Why is the peaceful coexistence of Muslims and Christians such a threat to you, NMN?

your "fact."

Standard Response #7: The "Who you gonna believe, me or your lyin' camera?" response. Nothing is valid, no matter what the evidence for it is, unless it squares with the conclusions he's already jumped to.

Mark’s Ordinary Response, Overt Nonsensical Ignorant Cognitation.

Why is the peaceful coexistence of Muslims and Christians such a threat to you,

There are six things that the LORD hates,
seven that are an abomination to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked plans,
feet that make haste to run to evil,
a false witness who breathes out lies,
and one who sows discord among brothers.

— Proverbs 6:16–19

Whoever speaks the truth gives honest evidence,
but a false witness utters deceit.
Truthful lips endure forever,
but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
but those who plan peace have joy.

— Proverbs 12:17, 19–20

An excellent illustration of how you are no different than Islamic extremists. American Taliban indeed.

An classic response demonstrating how you don't care about truth.

BTW, "American Taliban" = ad hominem fallacy

Fallacy: unsound, erroneous, misleading, deceptive, FALSE.

Also, the lowest form of disagreement.

Mark Ward said...

I guess you forgot about this...

Ideological purity. Compromise as weakness. A fundamentalist belief in scriptural literalism. Denying science. Unmoved by facts. Undeterred by new information. A hostile fear of progress. A demonization of a education. A need to control women’s bodies. Severe xenophobia. Tribal mentality. Intolerance of dissent and a pathological hatred of the U.S. government.

Based completely on statements and beliefs of today's conservatives. It's not "ad hom" when you demonstrate severe xenophobia and I call you on it.

Where?!? Which words?!? Verbatim!!

Based completely on heavily distorted statements and beliefs of today's conservatives, with a dash of hard-core demonization thrown in for good measure.

There. Fixed it for you.

Me: Where?!? Which words?!? Verbatim!!

Markadelphia: (Deafening silence)

Exactly! When are you going to apologize for your false accusation?

Mark Ward said...

I'd say the quotes you chose to reflect the Muslim faith illustrate your xenophobia. Perhaps you should find a Muslim and share the verses with them. Let me know what the response is...

to reflect the Muslim faith

???? Really ????

Where did I say that???

I didn't. There you go again, reading your own personal meaning into what someone else wrote, then attacking the meaning you created. (That's known as a S_______ Fallacy. Can you fill in the blank?)

The topic is truth and your lack of it.

Mark Ward said...

This all would have been a lot easier if you copped to why you put up the links to your "facts." Why did you? How do you feel about the Muslim faith? Specifically, what threat is there if Muslims and Christians get along?

Anonymous said...

You claim you can be wrong. Where is your admission and apology for being wrong?

threat is there if

Key word: if

Indicates conjecture about a hypothetical state of affairs.

The issue is that you are pushing a fantasy as though it's reality and trying to suppress what IS. That's called "lying." The person who lies about events or what others say is called a "false witness."

This is the fallacy suggested by your picture, especially when you pretended that recent events didn't actually happen.

Fallacy: unsound, erroneous, misleading, deceptive, FALSE.

Mark Ward said...

How is it false? You haven't really explained your point so it's basically neither true nor false. I'm simply going on what you have said thus far and previously.

Anonymous said...

How is it false?

Nearly every comment you've made in this thread, but the ones you need to apologize for are this:

you are no different than Islamic extremists. American Taliban indeed.

And this:

It's not "ad hom" when you demonstrate severe xenophobia and I call you on it.

And this:

the quotes you chose to reflect the Muslim faith

Mark Ward said...

This could all be solved very quickly if you explained what you were trying to accomplish with your initial post and your thoughts on the Muslim faith. If I am wrong, I will retract my statement and apologize. Thus far, you have said nothing to indicate I should do so. You have simply acted like Joan Collins and called me a liar.

Anonymous said...

I called you a liar because that's what you've done. Nothing I did say or would say justifies your slander.

Where is your apology?

Mark Ward said...

Since I don't know where you really stand on this issue, only what you have insinuated and said in the past, I won't apologize until you explain yourself further.

Are all Muslims violent and do they all want to kill us?

Anonymous said...

I see. "I could be wrong" is just another one of your lies. And now you've demonstrated it for everyone else to see too.

P.S. I've actually already made the point I had in mind when I posted the links. (Note: It was only a potential point until you clarified your point.) But you have been so intent on slandering me that you missed it completely.

Mark Ward said...

What was your point?

Anonymous said...

Where is your apology?

Mark Ward said...

Yeah, you're not wriggling out of this one. Until you give a little love for your Muslim brothers and sisters, my point stands. You are part of the American Taliban and no different from Muslim extremists.

Anonymous said...

you're not wriggling out of this one.

You're projecting again.

I challenged you to show the exact words I used that were even slightly xenophobic, and YOU. COULD. NOT. DO. IT!! Why? Because I did not say such a thing. Nor have I said any such thing in the past. Nor would I. Yet in spite of that fact, you falsely slander me anyway.

You are accusing me of trying to "wriggle away" from something I never did. There is nothing to "wriggle away" from!

On the other hand, you are actually trying to wriggle away from something you undeniably did. Right here. In print. For all the world to see.

For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.
— Matthew 7:2

And what principle of punishment will be used for your slander? Probably this one:

The judges shall inquire diligently, and if the witness is a false witness and has accused his brother falsely, then you shall do to him as he had meant to do to his brother. So you shall purge the evil from your midst. And the rest shall hear and fear, and shall never again commit any such evil among you. Your eye shall not pity. It shall be life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
— Deuteronomy 19:18–21

And it won't be me judging you:

Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
— Romans 12:19

Remember, you cannot show anything I said that supposedly matches your false accusation, despite being directly challenged to do so. That simple fact is what proves that your accusation is false.

Where is your apology?

Time to point out another accusation you leveled at me:

Unmoved by facts.

The simple facts here are plain for all to see. Yet you are unmoved by them.

Where is your apology?
