The Zimmerman Arsenal

Seminole County deputies have found quite the gun collection in George Zimmerman's home: five guns and more than 100 rounds of ammunition. The guns included the high-capacity, high-tech 12-gauge shotgun that he used to threaten his girlfriend, according to her statement. The also found a semi-automatic assault rifle and three handguns.

I wonder what he was preparing for?

Jesus! That's enough ammunition for the NYPD to shoot two people! -- Ken White

And it's enough for the LAPD to shoot only one.

What's that term you use, Mark? Hyperventilating? Time to check the mirror again.

Yes, "arsenal" my ass. 106 rounds isn't even enough for one good morning at the range. Calm down, your panting is scaring the dogs.

1 small-bore rifle, 1 shotgun, 3 pistols (one of of marginal cartridge size). What the fuck are you so excited about? He'd need at least one more rifle large enough for big game, a .22 LR rifle, and a .22 LR pistol to round out a basic collection. As for the ammunition, I seriously doubt 106 rounds are enough to fill up the magazines that came with the guns he had. Considering that ammo comes in 20 or 50 round boxes, that's a gnat's fart. 100 rounds isn't even enough of a run to bother setting up the reloading press for. Once again, you've got no fucking idea what you're hyperventilating about.

By the way, given the numbers that have been coming out regarding ACA, AKA "Obamacare", I am quite certain you were lying your ass off again claiming several of your close relatives in Missouri had signed up for it. You're supposedly from Missouri, so you ought to be familiar with, "Show me!" Lord knows with you, anyone would be stupid to take your word on it, but would ask to see the evidence first hand. At least you weren't claiming Oregon, which has spent $300 million and managed to sign up 0.0 people (excluding Medicaid signups, which really is welfare). 0.0 The Full Blutarsky. We're Dizzy with Success now!

"High-tech" shotgun? Since when has a pump-action shotgun been "high-tech"? It was old-tech when the US Army used them as trench guns (with a bayonet) in WWI. Now the Kel-Tec is short and has "high-capacity" for a shotgun, 12 shells, though. But still, you've packed an awful lot if ignorance and fear into one short post. If it wasn't for the run of silly posts you've been making lately, I say this is the winning Fail post, but the competition is pretty tight.

Is not an 'assault rifle' if it is semi-automatic. Per the definition.

You do realize that most handgun ammunition is sold in boxes of 50 rounds, don't you?

Shotgun ammo is packed in boxes of 20 rounds.

While rifle ammunition is normally sold in boxes of 20 rounds, the cheaper ammo usually used by people for ar-15's are also packed in 50 round boxes.

So....let's just look at what he would have if he bought one single box of ammo for each gun.

12ga. - one box of 20.

.223 - one box of 50

.380 - one box of 50

9mm - one box of 50

(The reporter is also an idiot in the same vein as Mark. The listed guns are a 9mm handgun and a Glock 19. A Glock 19 IS a 9mm handgun. So is it two 9mm handguns or one 9mm handgun AND a scary Glock 19 which is just by coincidence also a 9mm handgun? I will assume it is the latter - therefore an extra box of 9mm for the Glock as well)

Glock 19 - one box of 50

Holy crap! Just buying one box of ammo for each gun would give one a fucking arsenal of 220 rounds!!!!11!!11eleventy!!!! What kind of madman would have that much ammo on hand?

You sir are ignorant. But you know that and continue to bloviate. That makes you an ignorant ass.

5. During the argument, George and I exchanged words l.u. the heat of the moment and we were in very close proximity in a relatively small room. George never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner.
