Oh, I See

Sarah Palin: MSNBC ‘despicable’

When the Left is outraged about something like Phil Robertson, they are infringing free speech and hampering freedom. But when the Right is outraged about something, well, then it's OK, I guess.

Are you actually defending MSNBC's comments?

Not at all. I'm simply pointing out that Sarah Palin, like many conservatives, are hypocrites. It's freedom of speech when someone says something offensive but she likes it. But it's offensive when she doesn't like it.

I didn't see the show on MSNBC but I was offended beyond just the racial implications. Families are off limits.

You ever thought that you, like many liberals have a very flexible definition of what is offensive? Perhaps, as in the Phil Robertson flap, when the left gets all offended it's because of that rather than what was said was actually, you know, offensive?

There's nothing hypocritical about it, at least to someone who can actually think rather than simply react based on who said something. Did Palin say they had no right to say it? No, she did not. She said the jokes were despicable and they should be ashamed of themselves. Did she call for them to be fired? No, she did not. Surely even you can see the difference?

Tweet of the day: If I were a Freudian, I'd say Perry accused the Romneys of adopting a black child for the precise reason she suspects MSNBC adopted her.
