Congress doesn't study/do science and they don't build (engineer) anything. All they do is pass laws; you have to be pretty clueless to be surprised that they are mostly lawyers (and not corporate law types at that).
I believe Nikto was referring to Paul Broun who is an MD. You might want to take a little time and do some research on the things he has said, Larry, before running your keyboard.
So what was the ignorant comment by Broun on the female reproductive system, oh pre-eminent drooler on the keyboard? I didn't remember anything about him on that subject, nor does a google search turn up anything. You care to back up your claim? You might want to do a little fucking research before running your keyboard.
Besides which, I was asking a question and positing a conclusion IF the answer to the question was negative. You might want to really brush up on your reading comprehension. It's probably the single most common cause of your beclowning yourself in comments.
""All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the Big Bang Theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell. And it's lies to try to keep me and all the folks who were taught that from understanding that they need a savior. You see, there are a lot of scientific data that I've found out as a scientist that actually show that this is really a young Earth. I don't believe that the Earth's but about 9,000 years old. I believe it was created in six days as we know them. That's what the Bible says."
Okay, so you prove your reading comprehension skills are somewhat below "Retarded Rhesus Monkey" (again). I've not argued that Paul Broun isn't a kook on some issues, but where, pray tell, is your evidence that of him making ignorant comments about the female reproductive system like Akin or Mourdock, for example? For once in your life, can you actually READ your own links and sources? It really would make you less of an International Internet Clown.
Embryology is not part of the female reproductive system? And I'm the one with the reading comprehension problem?
Is Embryology a "lie from the pit of hell?"
Here's another example...
Phil Gingry, R-GA, Ob-Gyn
In Missouri, Todd Akin ... was asked by a local news source about rape and he said, "Look, in a legitimate rape situation" -- what he meant by legitimate rape was just look, someone can say I was raped: a scared-to-death 15-year-old that becomes impregnated by her boyfriend and then has to tell her parents, that's pretty tough and might on some occasion say, "Hey, I was raped." That's what he meant when he said legitimate rape versus non-legitimate rape. I don’t find anything so horrible about that. But then he went on and said that in a situation of rape, of a legitimate rape, a woman’s body has a way of shutting down so the pregnancy would not occur. He’s partly right on that. ...
And I've delivered lots of babies, and I know about these things. It is true. We tell infertile couples all the time that are having trouble conceiving because of the woman not ovulating, "Just relax. Drink a glass of wine. And don't be so tense and uptight because all that adrenaline can cause you not to ovulate." So he was partially right wasn’t he? But the fact that a woman may have already ovulated 12 hours before she is raped, you’re not going to prevent a pregnancy there by a woman's body shutting anything down because the horse has already left the barn, so to speak. And yet the media took that and tore it apart.

Watch a sonogram of a 15-week baby, and they have movements that are purposeful. They stroke their face. If they're a male baby, they may have their hand between their legs. If they feel pleasure, why is it so hard to think that they could feel pain?
That makes three and that means you owe Nikto an apology.
You're still reading impaired. The fool Broun was talking about embryology as it relates to evolution, a point that your co-blogger Nikto made a couple of weeks ago. By your interpretation, he doesn't believe in pregnancy, either.
Phil Gingry's an idiot for defending Akin, and is argument is idiocy squared.
What Michael Burgess said is silly, but at least partially true. I don't think it's true at only 15 weeks. But that's an argument about fetal development. I didn't see anything there about the female reproductive system, even if for now that's the only place fetal development can take place.
So actually, you've found one, not three.
Nor does Nikto get an apology because my statement about his comment being idiotic was conditional on the answer to my question being "no". Since there's one, it's "no", but Nikto says there's several. I see one.
Other than this small comment, there's nothing I can add to yours, Larry. A shining example of why I allow open comments. I just let you guys write stuff and it all works out:)
Let readers be reminded that person asking for an apology has accused me (and other commenters here and elsewhere) of being racist, homophobic, neo-Nazi, anarchist (just try to reconcile those last two as co-existing anywhere but in Markadelphia's so-called mind), sucker of corporate cock. Hmm, that last one sounds more than a little homophobic to me.
Do you honestly think that anyone other than five or six people read these comments, Larry? I suppose I should feel complemented that you think so highly of my blog that hundreds or even thousands read it and actually contribute to shaping the direction our country takes.
Not really, asshole. That was just a dig at you and your ludicrous demand, you colossal hypocrite. Now you just run along now, and go make some more homophobic insults about your commenters.

To be fair, at least a few of them have medical degrees. Not that you could tell from their ignorant comments about the female reproductive system...
Were the M.D.s the ones that said those things? No? Then that's an idiotic comment.
Law, law, law, business....
Don't forget - 'educator'.

Apparently, despite claiming to be nuanced and reflective, you are unable to understand the other side's position.

Georgia does elect some real idiots to Congress huh?
And they aren't even partisan about it: Broun, McKinney (formerly), Hank Johnson.
