Site Update

If you look to your left, you will see that the Electoral-Vote.com icon has changed. These are the new numbers for the House and Senate based on the polls and Andy's algorithm. They will change as his site updates them.

However you slice it, that is a very big swing from 2008.

Just remember - it is all the fault of stupid voters. It has NOTHING to do with the wonderfulness of the Democratic agenda (or for that matter the Republican one).

It's not that the voters are stupid. It's that economic times are still tough. It's only natural to blame the people in charge even if their "agenda" had nothing to do with the cause of the problem. People are frustrated and angry. The GOP is taking advantage of that, for the moment, and will swing a lot of votes their way. It's not a very smart long term strategy and will be even worse when people see, again, that they have nothing to offer in the way of solutions.

So, they didn't vote wisely in 2006-08 and they aren't doing so in 2010.

Got it.

Actually I think calling the voters stupid isn't necessarily inaccurate - it just isn't any way to win their votes.

I sure wish I knew what was in everyone's best interests. I'm just not that smart.
