Hitch Your Wagon To This Star

Remember the whole ACORN thing? You know...the deal where "conservative activist" James O' Keefe played a deceptive fear mongering game with the intent to diminish liberal votes? And was ultimately successful in taking down an organization who advocated for low and middle income families by working on neighborhood safety, voter registration, health care, affordable housing, and other social issues (aka traitorous socialists)?

Yeah, that guy. Guess what he's been up to lately.

A conservative activist known for making undercover videos plotted to embarrass a CNN correspondent by recording a meeting on hidden cameras aboard a floating "palace of pleasure" and making sexually suggestive comments, e-mails and a planning document show.

James O'Keefe, best known for hitting the community organizing group ACORN with an undercover video sting, hoped to get CNN Investigative Correspondent Abbie Boudreau onto a boat filled with sexually explicit props and then record the session, those documents show.

Cool. And check out the list of items he had planned to use as props. Lube? Blindfold? Dildos? Fantastic. It sounds like a plot that is perfect...if you are a 12 year old boy.

I remember having a long debate on another blog with a woman who goes by the name Scrapalatte regarding ACORN. She wrote long prose extolling Mr. O'Keefe as a hero to the conservative movement much like Michael Moore is to liberal causes. ACORN was the work of the devil and O'Keeke, a saint doing the Lord's work. I wonder what she thinks about him now with this latest revelation. And after he got arrested for tampering with Senator Mary Landrieu's phones earlier this year.

Hitch your wagon to this (super) star, my conservative friends. There's no doubt in my mind that he's going places!

Here's what Andrew Breitbart has to say about this:

O’Keefe Owes His Supporters an Explanation

In case you've forgotten, BigGovernment.com is where the ACORN videos were originally released.

And you're STILL ignoring the fact that O'Keefe did not force or entrap those ACORN people. They broke the law entirely on their own. Repeatedly. You were pointed to the transcripts and uncut audio of the actions of those ACORN people.

Your flat refusal to face the facts is obvious. And indeed, legendary.

O'Keefe's apparent wrongdoing here does NOT excuse ACORN's own failures.

What I think is legendary is Mark's patience dealing with a group of mildly psychotic individuals with a vastly over inflated sense of their intelligence and intellectual capabilities. For a group of people that champion critical thinking it's indeed humorous that they show none of it in their ridiculous generalizations of the left or anyone who doesn't fit into their warped ideology.

Mark, you are being too nice to Mr O'Keefe. He's a complete scumbag. Just say it. I've had guys like him hit on me all the time. They are immature little boys who act out of deep insecurity and being kicked around as youth. This neatly sums up the people who comment at the Smallest Minority link above as well.

Well aside from "heroic", I think that is a fairly accurate characterization. Another advocate of carefully constructed half-truths, media sensationalism and gotcha 'journalism'.

Amusing how much he infuriates those that think that the exclusive domain of lefties in attacks on conservatives.

Did you check the full transcripts and uncut audio of O'Keefe's recordings of the ACORN people? They show that the ACORN people stepped in the doodoo of their own free will.

Mark was pointed at them. He is once again pretending that those records do not exist. How is that rational, in any sense of the term?

Look at the comments over at The Smallest Minority. There is three years of evidence of why that "tactic" is number 1 on the list.

Or maybe you're actually more logical than Mark and can use actual evidence and valid logic and avoid the invalid logic described on this list. (Mark seems to use that list as if it's what he's supposed to be doing.) If we're that "irrational" then you should have no trouble, right?

Here's a good place to start.
