Really?

Look - it's racism in action!!!! OMG!!!

The race card is maxed out and the accusation has been cheapened by those who fling the charge around any chance they get, which is any time the subject comes up.

Barack does have light skin and only has a negro dialect when he wants it. A few years ago he would have been getting her coffee.

You know who you guys remind me of? My 9 year old son when he's scraping crumbs off of the corners of his mouth and his shirt claiming, "I didn't eat any cookies."

It's never racism. It's always liberal race baiting, right?

If any of you thought my last paragraph was racist don't worry - it's a mix of 2 quotes from "your side" that somehow passed under your radar.

http://articles.cnn.com/2010-01-09/politics/obama.reid_1_john-heilemann-african-american-voters-senator-reid?_s=PM:POLITICS

Those guys, well, they really didn't mean it. Let a repub say that and they will be labeled racist to the bone and they will be tasked to just go die.

So, your defense is to...link Democrats who've said racially insensitive things? Again, you are acting like my son and saying that his older sibling did it.

Your second quote sounds like gossip to me...no real way to substantiate it. But, alright, Bill Clinton is a racist. That's why his offices are in Harlem.

Note that in your first quote, Harry Reid apologized for his remarks. Think we'll get any sort of admission from the people you support, last? For the record, they all used to be Democrats and were racist much longer with D's next to their name than R's...if it makes you feel any better.

Read this sentence out loud and try not to laugh:

The animosity that conservatives feel towards President Obama is in no way related to the color of his skin.

Changed your tune huh?

I wasn't offering up any defense because I wasn't there, just like you. I'm pointing out the difference in your reaction. Harry apologized so its all good but conservatives who say and think things like that need to die so your goals can be reached.

And if that would have been a republican male president talking to a female governor, you can bet he would have been labeled a sexist.

speaking of evisceration, go ahead and have obama state what you think verbatim in one of the debates this year( that criticism of him or his policies) stems from racism. Election would be over at that point - he'd lose by 10 points.

Projection.

Sadly, yes. That one really seems to bother you as you've mentioned it several times. It's funny and serendipitous actually as I was just thinking about this nikto line the other day (credit where it is due). My question to you is what other choice is there?

It's very clear that these people aren't going to change their minds, can't be reasoned with and are filled with anger, hatred, paranoia, and fear--the last of which is honestly from which the whole problem stems. Every single right winger that posts here is much more afraid than they let on. Afraid of change...of things they don't know or understand...afraid that Democrats will succeed and they will be proved wrong. It's not my fault that conservatives think that if they are wrong about one thing, then their entire platform is faulty. It is, but not for that reason:)

So, since they are completely intransigent, the only thing left if for evolution to take its course. For example, most older conservatives (and some Democrats as well) don't like gay marriage or homosexuals in general. But younger conservatives are real sick of that bigotry. They want the focus on fiscal issues and shrinking the size of government. The writing is on the wall...when the older folks die off, the gay issue is done. We've actually seen this with racism. We have come a long way and the knee jerk hatred we see towards the president is the last strains of that bigotry.

I can't force people to think differently. In the final analysis, it's up to them.

go ahead and have obama state what you think verbatim in one of the debates this year( that criticism of him or his policies) stems from racism. Election would be over at that point - he'd lose by 10 points.

Well, I'm not feeding talking points to the White House so this is sort of silly. It's not in his nature to want to do that sort of thing because he likes to take responsibility for his own actions and not place blame on others--event though he rightfully could do so in many cases.

I think if he stood up and said that a big reason why there are so many on the right opposed to overhauling immigration lies in racist attitudes, he would not only be right but likely win a large portion of the Latino vote which, if you'be been keeping up, is a large factor in the coming election, right? So, I disagree. He would not lost by ten points. Do you honestly think that some on the right are that virulent about immigration simply because laws are being broken? C'mon, dude...really!!??!

And, in case you haven't noticed, our electorate is becoming less white but that is really what this all about, generally speaking, ...fear of the unknown and the other...

M knows this because of his god-like ability to read minds - minds that are virtually identical.

How wondrous it must be to live life without any sense of shame. Just a faithful member of the Leftboro communion.

Speaking of children who act out - they normally continue to act out when there are no consequences for doing so. Markadelphia continues with his accusations of racism because there aren't any consequences for him if he happens to be wrong.

I blame Bush for forcing you to make such an easily disproved statement.
