Well, That's Nice

Apparently, the gun community has a difficult time keeping track of the their guns. The nation’s gun dealers lost 190,342 firearms last year, including pistols, silencers and machine guns, contributing to the flow of illegal weapons that put guns in the hands of felons, gang members and drug dealer. The fives states that are the worst offenders are Texas, Georgia, Florida, California, and North Carolina. Not surprising, really.

So, let's see if I have this correct. The gun community doesn't want any new guns laws because they are worried their rights will be infringed yet, at the same time, they are completely inept at keeping track of the weapons in their care. Responsible gun owners, my ass.

Included in that total are 16,677 guns "lost or stolen" by Federal Firearm Licensees (FFLs). It's hard to believe these businesses are so completely inept at holding on to their weapons. I mean, they've got all those guns! How can they be robbed? Guns are supposed to stop robberies!

Which makes me wonder. How many of those guns were really stolen or lost, and how many were sold under the table to people who wouldn't pass a background check?

You do know there is a difference between a robbery and a burglary don't you? Do you care?

Oh and M? She was asking for it by wearing that short skirt? Blaming the victim doesn't make it alright just because of the scary guns.

Holy crap, I just saw this...

You really are a fucking idiot. Why in the fucking world would a licensed dealer commit a federal felony to sell a gun? It's not like they have a hard god damned time making legitimate sales. Christ engage your brain before opening your mouth.

Indeed, Nikto. How is it that all those gun full zones were burgled? I thought good guys with guns stopped bad guys with guns. So much for that completely asinine theory...

Burgled you freekin idiot.... BURGLED.

You are as much of an idiot as N.

But why would criminals even have the stones to break into an empty gun store? I thought they were supposed to be all afeared of the big bad gun store owners.

Uhhhh. Really?

Empty? Think about that for a while and see if it sinks in.

Willy Sutton could probably answer that for you. But you weren't really asking - you are just acting - peak retard.

Mark Ward said...

So what if it's empty. How would they know this? I think the fact that criminals rob gun stores (empty or not) shows that having a lot of guns in one place is no deterrent.

Robbery is a different act than burglary. Use the right words.

How would they know? Maybe because the store is closed and the lights are off.

"I think..."

No. You are not.

Mark Ward said...

So, now you are saying they are staking out the place. Again, where is the fear?

Anonymous said...

Fear of what? A room full of guns? I know inanimate objects scare you - but nobody (except you) is making the contention that a room full of guns is supposed to deter crime. A person equipped with a gun on the other hand.....

Which is why burglars (who want to commit their crimes without contact with the victim) break into houses during the day when the residents are away at work and break into businesses at night when they are closed. This is a pretty simple concept. One that even criminals, who are generally too stupid to make it in the real world, understand. Apparently if one is too stupid to be a criminal your school district will hire them.

I'm not the one who made the assertion that criminals will stay clear of gun full zones, GD. That was you guys. If you'd like to alter that declaration, be my guest. I was simply under the assumption that no robber would dare cross a gun store owner. I guess they do!

No, that's your bubble talking. Show me where 'my side' said any such thing.

Really M we're convinced that you are acting as retarded as you can. You don't have to try harder.

The so-called "teacher" still can't read well. His own fucking link says, "In 2012, NCIC received reports reflecting 190,342 lost and stolen firearms nationwide. Of those 190,342 lost and stolen firearms reported, 16,667 (9% of the total reported) were the result of thefts/losses from FFLs. Of the 16,667 firearms reported as lost or stolen from a FFL, a total of 10,915 firearms were reported as lost. The remaining 5,762 were reported as stolen."

They make a point of singling out Texas as reporting "10% of firearms lost or stolen in the country," (actually it's 9.7%) without also noting that Texas has 8.3% of the population (probably higher if illegal immigrants are counted). However, that's not gun dealers, that's everybody that reports a missing or stolen firearm.

For FFLs, the five worst states (in order) are Pennsylvania, Texas, Maryland, New York, and Georgia. More proof, as if any is needed, that the "teacher" either doesn't even read his own links, or is unable to understand them. He's as careful with his facts and statements as a drunken sailor on shore leave is with his money and affections.

Oh, by the way, silencers aren't firearms, nor are they even mentioned in Markadelphia's link. If he's a teacher, God help his poor students.
