Ana Marie Cox has an excellent piece up about how the Gun Cult is beginning to realize that they might end up causing their own undoing. I find it highly amusing that the open carry psychos are actually causing the very bans they are trying to eliminate. But isn't this always the case with the conservative (ahem, adolescent) mindset? They act impulsively and with much hubris. They also are under the very mistaken impression that a majority of people support them.
They don't.

You do realize that these type of Open Carry advocates that do this are very few in number and are a tiny fringe? But you're more than willing to smear all the rest of us with them. Can we smear all DemProgs with a few really wacked OccuTrads? If not, why not?
The MSNBC article is based on a survey that uses left leaning, loaded questions. Using surveys conducted without objectivity, based on a study nearly 20 years old, and relying upon conclusions made by the Huffington Post, MSNBC has done nothing but pull together a mass of misinformation and half-truths. They leave out the fact that the poll they base their entire article on shows support for open carry and split views on “assault weapons” and 15-round magazines.
