It sure does pay to have your pals in the White House, doesn't it?

It’s a political year, and Obama couldn’t afford yet another black eye by having one of his cronies go off to jail in an orange jumpsuit. Besides, if Corzine stays out of jail, just think of all the money he could raise. You think he is the only one in the grey area of finance? If you can buy your way out of jail with money and influence, there is a huge untapped market for political donations.

Hope and chains, 2012!

I'll go you one better, juris. Why isn't Chris Dodd in jail?

You seem to be laboring under the assumption that I think this is entirely a GOP problem. The catalyst for all of this was Rubin and Clinton as well as all the GOP senators. That's why it perplexes me that your defense of the right is to point out that someone on the left does it as well. Obviously, Corizine did the same thing. How does that absolve responsibility from those on the right that did?

You mean we didn't elect Obama to stop all of this? Nobody you voted for is holding Corzine responsible so save your talk about cronyism.

Excuse me, but where the fuck was I defending the right? Oh, that's right - I'm not on your side, so I must be on the other side. You do realize that is your little problem Mr. Black-and-White (Us-or-them).

Now I am criticizing your naieveté that voting for more Democrats will change that - particularly since YOUR party is both the culprit and [non-]prosecutor in this instance.

I'd say that the president has gotten farther than anyone else, rld, and it's obvious considering the numbers of Wall Street donations flowing away from him and towards Mitt Romney. Things like this take time but, then again, an adult would understand this.

so I must be on the other side.

So, you're Sgt. Schultz, is that it, juris? You point out the Democrats and hit the snooze button the GOP and I think we both know very well why you do this.

your naieveté that voting for more Democrats will change that

I don't understand your criticism of Democrats. Actually, I don't understand the right's entire line of thought. On the one hand, they are statists who want to destroy big business. On the other hand, they are crony capitalists who are just as bad as the GOP. Which is it? They can't attack the free market and put an unfair burden on them while also being their piss boys, can they?

Corzine got Obama a lot of money, and look what it bought him. But he's Gotten Farther in your mind so that makes it ok. Maybe I'll get a stick and stand outside of a polling place this year like the black panthers did last time. No problem with that whatsoever - just move along.

Mark Ward said...

Black panthers again? Hmm, that smacks of desperation. What was all that hubbub about again? I'm sure it's still talked about frequently on the right wing blogs so you'll have to enlighten me.

I never said what Corzine did was OK. I'm just wondering why you always point out the Democrats doing this and then it's a cricket festival when the right does it.

Of course you don't - you are a cheap partisan hack.

On the one hand, they are statists who want to destroy big business.

Really? When did I ever say that? Oh, wait - that must've been the juris imprudent in your head - he's always saying shit I never said.

On the other hand, they are crony capitalists who are just as bad as the GOP.

In this case, they are a bit worse than the GOP.
