Finally An Answer!

There seems to be very little if nothing we can talk about when it comes to Mitt Romney. We can't talk about his taxes (even though he wants to change the rest of ours). We can't talk about his time at Bain (even though he is using it as a reason as to why he'd be able to turn our economy around). We can't talk about the Ryan Budget (even though he chose Paul Ryan to be his VP).

So what can we talk about?

Ah, got it!

I realize you come across cutesy pics and are eager to put them up, but I think you could do better that this...

We can't talk about taxes? Sure we can. Let's talk tax plans, tax rates, tax breaks, tax loopholes, etc. But you want to talk only about 1 man's taxes and for what specifically? Fishing for details to purport more class warfare?

We can't talk about Bain? Sure we can. But what good is it talking about the time he wasn't there? How about the time he was there? Let's talk...

We can't talk about the Ryan Budget? Sure we can. But he's only the #2 guy; how about a bit more focus on the top of the ticket? (Side note, what does Biden bring to the ticket other than nice neck ties?) But have it your way...I don't see anyone shying away from it. The Romney camp just likes to remind folks that if you're going to try and scare grandma about Medicare going away, Team O is the side that is on record for 700+ in cuts. And if you're going to talk about it, well, it helps to have an alternative in mind, no? And that would be the President's budget which gained a total of zero votes or the Senate budget that...forget it...just keep swimming...just keep swimming...

So there's plenty to talk about... But let's turn this about. Concerning Obama, what can and can't we talk about?

The achievements of his administration? What little there are, are none too popular.
Medicare? Who's cut Medicare again? Keep on moving...
Green jobs? Don't see too many photo opts in front of those glitzy west coast eco-companies anymore.
Any jobs? Another year of 8+...
The economy? He was dealt a bad hand an promptly discarded his face cards. Outlook? Double-dip, anyone?
A 4th trillion dollar budget deficit? Makes Dubya look like a penny-pincher.
Foreign policy? He got bin Laden...that's good for another few shots (ha ha bin Laden), but alienating our allies isn't quite flying.
Character? Obama's autobiographies have to be moved to the fiction section.
Drugs? That was a popular stick with which to beat GWB but is now a medal to be worn about Obama's neck?
Religion? I've gone to the same pastor for just a couple years. I listen and, whether noticeably or not, it changes you. Obama had marinated in the teachings of Jeremiah Wright for 20+ years but that is off limits. (Focus on Mormonism? Not very tolerant...) (Religious liberty? Troubling explaining why all the Obamacare exceptions are doled out to union friends but religious organizations must fight to maintain their values?)
Transparency in government? Hah!
Collaboration? Bringing left vs. right together is not really a strong suit. GWB reached across the aisle for such (bad) legislation as NCLB and the Drug Plan, Obama say, “You probably shouldn't do much talkin'”.

Should I go on?...

If I go point by point on these and show you where you erred, would it make a difference? Otherwise, I'm not going to waste my time.

Ah, sadly, no facts that will change your mind. Well, the first one on your list won't take too much of an effort.

That's 190 achievements for you to gander at as you see fit.

Mark needs to refresh his understanding of what constitutes a subjective evaluation.
