How Conservatives Win in 2016

Law Enforcement Concerns Create Unlikely Alliances in Missouri and Beyond

So when a measure was introduced recently in the Republican-held General Assembly calling for sharp limits in the revenue that Missouri towns can derive from traffic fines, it was not surprising that black lawmakers voiced support. What was unexpected were their allies in the cause: white, suburban Republicans, a former St. Louis County police chief and leaders from several conservative groups.

As the article notes, this is happening on a national level as well. If they can lose the old white bigots on their side, conservatives have policies that will appeal to black voters that are aligned with their less intrusive government ideology. The same holds true for Latino voters.

The Democrats better take note of this and watch out.

I certainly hope that the future of the Repub Party is people like Paul (even though he won't make a good President) and Amash.

I don't know if you've followed it, but Walker is getting considerable interest; I had thought Kasich would be the suddenly rising governor.

As for the racist element you think is so dominant, perhaps you can explain Rep. Love and Sen. Scott? Or are they oreo-cookies... race traitors, etc.?

It's nearly a year until the Iowa caucus so it's nice that Walker is getting interest but I don't think he will get the nomination. If he does, that would be great for the Democrats in the general election.

I think you are only capable of speaking in straw man. Who even says this stuff?

People who answer questions with questions -- are trying to avoid answering the question. And when they finally do, they're likely lying.

Hmm..perhaps GD should take your advice, Larry.

I didn't give any advice. Perhaps you should stop listening to the voices, and actually start reading what people actually write.

Oh fuck off mark. I've answered plenty of your questions while you've completely failed to answer or explain your positions.

Now that is funny coming from you.

You have just spent a considerable bit of time talking about how racists have not just a haven but major electoral influence in the Republican Party. So please explain Haley and Scott winning office in South Carolina (clearly a racist, Old South state, no?) and Jindal and Guillory in LA and/or Love in UT.

You think Walker is good news for Dems? Yeah, I'm sure your view has been prevalent in WI for the last 6 years - Oh boy, there's a guy we can't possibly lose against! I really have no idea if he is that solid of a candidate, but if you think he isn't, he probably is.

Dunno, j. Walker's college record has been subjected to more scrutiny in the last two weeks than Obama's in the last 7-8 years. Though I suspect that if there were any dirt to dig out on Walker, it would have already been dug, given the unions' stance and much of the WI state bureaucracy. I suspect that the amount of disdain from fuckwits like Markadelphia and Nikto (at this point) indicate the amount of fear they feel. IF Walker runs, and holds it together, and is competitive, I predict bowel-loosening of epic proportions by the proprietors of this blog.

Well, since you said it, it must be true:)

please explain Haley and Scott winning office

They won because they had an R next to their name. Tribalism trumps the racism in the Republican party. The former is a far larger problem than racism which, if have indeed been following along with my posts on racism, constitute a substantial chunk of the GOP base but not its entirety.

but if you think he isn't, he probably is.

Genetic fallacy.

I'm sure your view has been prevalent in WI for the last 6 years

Barack Obama carried the state in both 2008 and 2012. That means some people voted for both Obama and Walker. What does that tell you?

Explain which states he is going to take away from the Democrats lock on 242 and how he will do it? How will he appeal to the Latino vote in Florida?

Considering how divisive he is in his own home state, I'm wondering if he can even win that one (carried by the Democrats in every presidential election since 1988. Yes, that's right, Michael Dukkais won WI) considering there will be higher voter turnout.

Of course, that's assuming he can even get the nomination.

"stop fucking around and just speak your criticism."

Quote verbatim where any commenter here has said the cop in the brown case was "awesome and stuff" or something substantially similar.

So the same where we say "all" are idiots.

Failed to answer or explain.

Two weeks to get you to sorta explain why you think M-T would have prevented Kmetz. I say sorta because you expected others to show 'their understanding' first rather than explain your position. So rather than just answering or explaining we ended up with fractured back and forth trying to torture out what your position was.

This is going back only a few weeks. This also doesn't take into account that commenters here have learned the hard way how futile it is to get you to answer or explain - thereby lessening the willingness to even try to get you to do so.

Hahahhahhahhha!

Considering you never disagree with one another and always are in disagreement with me as a collective, I'd say all of your views are not relevant.

Genetic Fallacy.

if those 2 or 3 people were members of the North Korean government, you would pay attention

Genetic Fallacy.

What was it the Rob said about both sides losing an argument?

How does it feel to lose, GD?:)

Wow, that is fucking stupid even for you.

That means some people voted for both Obama and Walker. What does that tell you?

That Walker must be scaring the shit out of every Democratic candidate not named Obama! How the fuck do you get a "he's in trouble against all the Dems" out of that?

the Democrats lock on 242

Oh, that's how you see a problem - because of a delusional belief in a lock. Why don't you ask Rove about his emerging/enduring conservative majority? You utterly failed in prognosticating the 2014 elections and now you think because of your undying devotion to all people Democratic that they can slam-dunk the Presidency in 16.

You really are that stupid, blind and deluded?

Mark Ward said...

Utterly failed? I predicted the GOP would take back the Senate. I was off by a couple of seats but that's not utterly failing

How did I do in 2012?

GuardDuck said...

Pretty sure you lost the minute you devolved to schoolyard antics. I lost when I thought you could be redeemed.

Ultimately what Walker is going to be judged on is his economic record. The results of his tax cuts and spending cuts speak for themselves. How is Wisconsin doing these days?
