The Gun Toting Atheist

Hmm...

Charged with three counts of first-degree murder is Craig Stephen Hicks, 46, who has described himself as a “gun toting” atheist. Neighbors said Wednesday that he always seemed angry and confrontational. His ex-wife said he was obsessed with the shooting-rampage movie “Falling Down” and showed “no compassion at all” for other people.

Falling Down, for those of you who have not seen it, is old white man's porn. Michael Douglas plays a man who just can't take it anymore and goes on a shooting spree across Los Angeles. Here's the trailer.

I wonder how many other members of the Gun Cult get a boner when they watch this film.

If you actually paid any attention to anything other than the voices in your frickin' head, you might have a frickin' clue. As it is, listen to your first instincts, then do a 180 and start walking and you'll more than likely be getting warmer.

Of course M thinks movies are reality.

Poor, sad M.

I'm surprised Mark and N don't get a boner when they read about this guy.

Ah, the rush to redirect:)

What gave you the impression that I'm an atheist, GD? Is it because I don't believe in Republican Jesus?

Larry said...

I don't think you're an atheist, but other than that, yeah. You're just as much in agreement with him politically and philosophically as you are with Nikto. Oh, well.

Larry said...

And the only political difference between him and Nikto is that Nikto fears what he would do with a gun (and projects that fear onto others). Thankfully, Nikto is aware that he himself is totally unfit for firearms possession (so far as we know -- there have been a number of prominent hypocrites on this subject), though I think he may also be unfit for sharp, pointy object possession. And perhaps possession of string strong enough to be used as a garrot...

No, an answer to a question YOU asked.

Remember this? "How am I ideological similar to Hicks?

Didn't think you were an atheist Mark. Ideological similar. Does not mean twins separated at birth.

Included in his many Facebook “likes” are the Huffington Post, Rachel Maddow, the Southern Poverty Law Center, Freedom from Religion Foundation, Bill Nye “The Science Guy,” Neil deGrasse Tyson, Gay Marriage groups, and a host of anti-conservative/Tea Party pages.

As Larry said - "You're just as much in agreement with him politically and philosophically as you are with Nikto."

Do you or Larry think that the Ace of Spades is a reliable site in terms of critical thinking?

Further, Hicks posted pictures of his guns on his FB page. Who else does that?:)

GuardDuck said...

Critical thinking? Why don't you use some and explain how my post relies upon thought or opinion of others.

As I said, and you should use some critical thinking here too, ideologically similar does not mean exactly the same. Seems that you are using pedantic and semantic arguments here.

It's pretty easy to determine who this guy is more like...me or you, GD. I don't post photos of guns on social media nor do I fetish them.

Do you?

Do any of your fellow commenters?

Does Kevin on his blog?

GuardDuck said...

So you are saying that one's entire, ENTIRE ideology is manifested by whether or not one posts pictures of guns on the Internet?

Wow. That's some seriously deep critical thinking right there.

Ah poor M, really at a loss for how to deal with the fact that this loser really was his political compatriot and not the standard caricature.

Larry said...

I wonder what "critical thinking" has to do with reviewing the basic facts of what this particular nutjob 'liked' on his Facebook page? So-called "critical thinking" seems too often to be "biased political thinking" masquerading as something else.

Meanwhile, in the real world, fake hate is all too common: [Muslim] UT-Arlington student admits making up claim that gunman followed her to campus, threatened her

Add in the fake rape accusations, and one might think that the Progressives on campus might have a problem dealing with reality.
