Gun 'Cult' Ideology:

RULE 1
ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

RULE 2
NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY

RULE 3
KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER TIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

RULE 4
BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET

Always treat all firearms as if they were loaded.
Never allow the muzzle of any firearm to point at anything you are not willing to destroy.
Never put your finger near the trigger until you are ready to fire. Do not depend on any mechanical device for safety!
Always be sure of your target, and what is behind and in front of it.

So, despite you claiming this is 'gun cult' stuff - the actual 'gun cult' ideology specifically forbids it. How many ideological rules of the 'gun cult' were violated for this to happen?

One: stupid people have the same rights as everyone else. If you have a beef, it is with the state atty for not prosecuting.

Two: the state atty was being consistent (per the other story about the deputy sheriff accidentally killing his girlfriend). I happen to prefer consistency particularly between how LE is treated relative to civilians.

Three: what GD said.

Four: the guy may not be criminally liable (and I'll grant you that is debatable, but only based on what is reported); he is still civilly liable.

Now M, do you think you can possibly engage with what has been said by two different people here, or will you just keep listening to the voices in your head?

So M - what do you say to this?

Four years ago cops from the King's County Sheriff's Office and the state Department of Corrections (DOC) in Washington busted into the home of Dustin Theoharis and shot the unarmed man 16 times as he lay in bed. Theoharis had at least a dozen surgeries but survived. He sued the county, settling for $3 million, and has also sued the DOC.

Is this equally outrageous? Or do you not really care when cops misuse their guns?

I don't have any problems with guns, per se, if they are in the hands of professionally trained people like Army rangers or police officers.

I have stated repeatedly that I have no problem with trained police or private security being in school buildings

Guess not.
